They have amazing croissant loaf bread that they use to make an even better egg sandwich. It’s a skyscraper sized fluffy/custardy egg that’s smooth but holds its shape (and it has an herby garlic spread with cheese). And a startling kind of uniformity of the square cut loaf and egg. You might need to wait for a little bit, but always worth it.
FIKA
FIKA Cafe is a great place to get some great food that is as hard to pronounce as IKEA furniture. The bakery is open an hour before the kitchen so plan based on what you’re looking for. Loved all the food we had. The flavor profile has lots of tanginess with ground meat and potato pairings. Highly recommend the House Swede for a drink, and the Krappkakor for a meal. The veggie quiche special was also great!
Honey and Rye
This bakery is perfect for breakfast and desserts. I like the cakes at Scandinavia better, but the pies here are the best I’ve had in Minnesota. If you go here, you must try the breakfast sandwich. The bread they use is so buttery and thick, and they use a great cheese. They have coffee and lattes too which are made a bit better than typical coffee shops.
Taste of Scandinavia
This place simply has my favorite cakes for celebrations. I also recommend the French Toast, the whipped cream they use is amazing.
